Ticket Prices & Info

All tickets (excluding NPC tickets) include full access to the convention venue and all free games and events. All ticketed youth under 16 years of age must have a ticketed adult with them at the venue.

NPC tickets – These are for Sunday only and for those of all ages (recommended 8+) that don’t want to play any of the TTRPGs, but do want to come checkout the board games, artists, vendors, panels etc. If you NPCs decide you do want to check out what all the fuss is about, then come on down on Sunday! All participants under 12 must be supervised by a ticketed adult at all times.

Saturday/Sunday/Weekend tickets – These are for youth (12-17) and adults (18+) that want full access to everything AthVentureCon has to offer.

Please Note: Saturday is for adventurers 12-150 years of age. Sunday is for all adventurers, however we do recommend ages 8+ due to some more mature content at the venue as well as activities may not be suitable for the youngest of adventurers.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: After purchasing your tickets, you will receive a confirmation email, but this is not your ticket. Your tickets, with QR code, will be downloadable from your AthVentureCon.ie account anytime before AthVentureCon. There’s no need to print them, we can scan them from your phone at the front desk. Thank you.

*All event times and details subject to change. Changes will be posted on social media and the website.

frequently asked questions

Is this for adults?

Yes, absolutely! There will even be a few tables and games labeled 18+.

Is this for youth?

Yes, absolutely! Saturday ages 12+ is welcome and on Sunday all ages are! We do recommend ages 8+ for Sunday though as it will still be heavy on games and the smallest might get bored. There may also be some more mature content around the venue.

Are there special rates to stay at the hotel?

Yes! Just ring the Loughrea Hotel and tell them you're coming for AthVentureCon and ask for the special rates.

Will there be food?

The hotel has a full bar & restaurant, there's SuperMac's next door and Loughrea town is just a few minutes up the road and has a wide variety of wonderful restaurants.

Do I HAVE to create an account?

Yes, unfortunately. This is to protect both you and us. Plus your QR Code will be right there waiting for you in your account to download!

Can I leave the venue and come back?

Absolutely. Everyone will receive a wristband or lanyard when they check in. Just show this to the person at the font desk upon your return.

Can I play more than one TTRPG?

While we only guarantee one game per ticket, if there are seats available, then yes! Just check in with the committee member at the desk in the Games Hall and they will let you know.

Is it possible to pay at the door?

Only if there are still tickets available. We sold out last year so can't guarantee any, unfortunately. Plus tickets will be more expensive on the door.

I've never played a table-top game or anything before, is this still for me?

100%! This event is for everyone! If you have any interest at all in board games, RPGs, collectable card games (CCGs), cosplay, then yes! There will be plenty of games specifically for beginners and a plethora of volunteers and attendees that would love to help.

I wish to accompany someone with additional needs. Is there a carers ticket available?

AthVentureCon strives to be an accessible and enjoyable event for everyone. We offer one free ticket for the carer when visiting with the cared for person. We recommend pre-booking a ticket for the person with additional needs, this will ensure they can access the game sign-up form in advance of the event. The carers ticket will give admission to the event and has all the same features of an "NPC ticket" though will be applicable on Saturday and Sunday (see information above). The carers ticket does not require pre-booking, and can be secured upon arrival when presenting at the check in desk with the cared for person and the relevant documentation. Please ensure you have your Carer ID and/or relevant documentation to hand. This can be an ASIAM or IAA Autism ID card, FCI card or an associated membership card, GP letter or hospital consultant letter which confirms the visitor is unable to attend events independently, without a carer or mobility aid. If you require anything else to make your visit more comfortable, please email us in advance and we will do our best to help you if we can. Email info@athventurecon.ie

Is there a wheelchair accessible toilet?

Yes, there is a wheelchair accessible toilet at the hotel on the Ground Floor near the check-in desk. Please note, there are lifts to the 4th floor where the workshops and panels will be, but there is no wheelchair accessible toilet on the 4th floor.

Are there quiet areas?

The hotel bar, hotel reception, and 4th floor lobby area are generally quiet outside of peak times. If you need assistance in finding somewhere quiet please ask any of the volunteers in the pink shirts and we will direct you.
